#0906.N2 Yunomi.Matcha: Kurumy - A Toasty, Modern Matcha from Matsuo Tea Garden, Nagasaki

Using first flush spring leaves picked from Matsuo Masatoshi's tea fields in Higashi Sonogi, Nagasaki, this matcha offers a rich, toasty, nutty aroma profile that is sure to win over any matcha connoisseur.

The secret: a new machine that he has helped to develop which doesn't just steam but also simultaneously pan-roasts the raw leaf, creating this rich, nutty flavor profile.

About the name: Kurumy - in Japanese it means "walnut" 胡桃 because my first impression of the flavor was a delicious nutty and bitter flavor that reminded me of walnuts.
